Deep Purple are an English hard-rock outfit hailing from Hertford. They're perhaps the last of the UK’s greatest rock exports and have since gone on to sell over 100 millions albums across the world.

Their debut album, 'Shades of Deep Purple', came out in 1968, and the band were put on the map - they went in and out of major success, with their 1972's 'Machine Head' probably one of their most popular.

Having amassed so many songs that get coined under the “classic” moniker, setlists have been a never-ending debate among diehards and newer fans especially with the albums NOW WHAT ?! and inFinite. Both Number one Gold Status and top ten albums across the globe.

As of today, Deep Purple are still going strong. They may have experienced a few line-up changes but they are still regarded as one of the best rock acts ever. The band released their latest album, 'Whoosh!', in August 2020.
