Polo
Polo Tournaments 1 May – 1 August 2021
Polo, the horseback mounted team sport, is one of the world's oldest known team sports. Polo has been called "the sport of kings". It has become a spectator sport for equestrians and society, often supported by sponsorship.
Arena polo has similar rules, and is played with three players per team. The playing area is smaller, enclosed, and usually of compacted sand or fine aggregate, often indoors.
A firm fixture in London’s social calendar, Chesterton’s Polo in the Park brings world-class polo to the Capital. The unique, fast-paced format makes one of the oldest equestrian sports easier for both newcomers to follow and dedicated polo fans to enjoy the excitement.
The Cartier Queen's Cup is a 22-goal polo tournament at the Guards Polo Club in England. Named after Queen Elizabeth II, it is held annually in May-June.
